Proud to be an Assisting Editor for Lekala Patterns!

I have a new part-time job with Lekala.Co! It’s a great pattern company with customizable patterns that you can download, and use instantly! The website lets you select standard body measurements used all over the world, or you can put in your personal measurements for a garment that’s just right for you or those you sew for. That’s an incredible feature! Usually you have to spend hundreds of dollars for software to do something like that. Now it’s all online and very user friendly.  You can download the same pattern as many times as you like because all of your purchases are saved in your account. Log in and become a member! You will save 10% on patterns that are already at a very reasonable price. Oh, and there are many free patterns that you can download too! I’ll be working on those first, and I’ll sew up some of my favorites and post them soon.

I am working on the sewing directions so that they are easier for all levels of sewing experience. You can like the Lekala Facebook page and visit the Etsy shop too. We have a Lekala Button that you can place on your blog for a convenient link to the site. Hope you join us!

How exciting!! Those are really valuable features, including the measuring guides and keeping the pattern in an on-line library. Way to go, Girl!

Thank you Sarah, I’m really excited to be a part of the team. It will be fun to share my sewing expertise with sewers of all levels. By the way, I love those legging/pants you just made.

  3. That’s great, Barbara! Congratulations. Sounds like the perfect job for you. Lekala Pattern Company was nice enough to be a sponsor for the second season of Refashion Runway. They gave 25 free patterns as a prize. I’m hoping to try one of their patterns soon and I’m really looking forward to seeing what you make.

Wow, that was really nice of them. I’m happy to be a part of the team. I’m working on another bow back top (Lekala pattern, of course). This time it’s made from two extra large yellow t-shirts from the dollar store.

  4. Congratulations! Great news! Success! I have few patterns from few years ago… I have to try one – one day 🙂 It is so nice to see how some companies are growing, expending, developing – for better.

What a great gig. I have a couple of Lekala patterns I can’t wait to try. Good luck. Oh, I wonder if it will be possible to download new, improved directions for patterns already bought? Just a thought I had.

I think that the newly edited ones will automatically take the place of the older ones. I’m just getting started and will have all the free patterns edited this week. It could be awhile before I get to the ones you have. However, I would be glad to help you with any questions you might have. Just email me. baectel12atgmaildotcom

This is exciting news! I bought my first Lekala, #5570, about year ago and can’t figure out how the back is supposed to be sewn up. I would really love to be able to use their patterns but am still trying to understand how much ease they include and how the adjustments work.
